There are numerous reasons you might be experiencing insufficient housing. A Room For You can provide you with a nurturing environment while you transition to independence.

A Room For You Community Living Homes

Upon admission to one of our fully furnished homes, an assessment will be completed, and residents will be provided with information about community resources to optimize their growth and quality of life. Each resident must agree to contribute to the harmony and positive atmosphere in the home.

  • There will be a mandatory weekly house meeting to discuss living situations and promote a sense of community. Peer support is an important component in maintaining healthy relationships within the home.

  • Residents who are not employed or in an academic or vocational program are expected to make a positive contribution through volunteer work in the community or home. Examples of volunteer work within the home might be gardening, interior decorating, or teaching a skill to another resident. Employment and volunteer opportunities will be posted within the home, and assistance is offered if needed.

  • Residents are required to assist with chores in the house and clean up after themselves. They must be courteous to, and respectful of the other residents of the house, as well as the neighbors.

If you think community living might be a solution for you, we would love to help you stabilize your living situation in one of our houses.  Please contact us to discuss your needs.
